PRF Treatment
PRF stands for Platelet Rich Fibrin.
You may have read about platelet-rich plasma (PRP) which was lauded for its skin rejuvenating ability. Over the past few years, it has been popularised as the ‘Vampire Facial’ and Kim Kardashian is known to have had the treatment.
Beena uses the more advanced, next-generation PRP known as Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) version of this treatment and was trained in its use by the originator of the variation, Dr. Cleopatra Nacopoulos - leading the new treatment to be named the Cleopatra Technique.
Platelet-rich fibrin is a unique rejuvenation technique that uses your own blood plasma. Blood is saturated with platelets and fibrin which are a source of healing proteins and growth factors. It also contains stem cells which are the body’s foundation for regeneration.
100% natural - your body treats itself
PRF treatment is 100% natural (with no additives) because Beena makes it from your own blood. A small sample is collected from your arm to prepare your own serum to treat you. The blood is slowly spun in a centrifuge device which isolates the white blood cells and platelets to create the rich PRF serum. She then injects the serum into the area to be treated.
Once injected back into your body, the activated concentrated platelets start accelerating healing and kick start the regeneration process, producing a gradual, cumulative, long-lasting effect. Its potent collagen and elastin stimulating properties, result in tightened, lifted, and more youthful skin.

What can PRF be used for?
Dr Beena was introduced to PRF treatment through its use in dental surgery for gum rejuvenation where it is used as a way of speeding up recovery from implant surgery.
What Beena discovered was that PRF has a number of applications and is also a natural way to rejuvenate the skin, and can be used instead of unnatural botulinum toxin and dermal filler treatments:
-
Facial augmentation
-
Fine lines
-
Wrinkles
-
Skin rejuvenation
-
Hair regrowth
-
Acne scars
-
Stretch marks
-
Wound healing
-
Gum rejuvenation
-
Bone grafts
-
Skin grafts
-
Degenerative joint diseases
The many benefits of PRF
Rebuilds skin, bone, and soft tissues using a person’s own blood
Improves the skin tone and texture
Ideal if you want a natural alternative to botulinum toxin and dermal fillers
100% natural treatment
Completely natural results - after all, you are harnessing your body’s own resources
No allergic reactions - unlike many facial aesthetic treatments which involve injecting unnatural products into the skin
No long term side effects of muscle weakness or atrophy which is commonly experienced by people who have had botulinum toxin treatment
No contraindications - which means anyone can have the treatment
How is PRF injected into your face and neck?
PRF is injected into the face and neck using a Dermapen micro-needling device. The pen is glided over the skin and microscopic channels are stamped into the skin’s matrix - the structural layers under the surface.
Through these channels, the PRF is able to penetrate the skin’s layers, stimulating a wound healing response that initiates intense renewal, repair, and rejuvenation.
The Dermapen device can also be used around the eyes and is gentle enough to avoid bruising around even sensitive skin areas.
As the Dermapen device pierces the skin vertically, it also prevents the skin from tearing, and this reduces the risks of any scarring.
LED Light therapy
Beena accelerates the PRF treatment using light therapy - specifically, Genosys LED light therapy. You relax under a light-emitting arch which is programmed with the right colour sequence to help enhance your skin.
The system uses four different light wavelengths:
Red light promotes skin cell regeneration, improved blood circulation, pain relief, and activation of active ingredients
Blue light encourages the destruction of acne bacteria and inhibition of sebaceous glands. It also prevents wound infection.
Green light improves sensitivity, hyperpigmentation, and enhances natural well-being.
Yellow light improves rosacea, erythema, and herpes zoster in early stages.
